The Foundation

Named for the mother of the generous.

Karima al-Marwaziyya was a tenth-century scholar through whom the world received Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī; her students called her the mother of the generous. Since 1998 her namesake in High Wycombe has tried to live up to it: a prayer space that anchors the week, schools that take children from the Qaida to the Alimiyyah, a library open to everyone, and a centre that feeds, teaches, employs and celebrates.

We are volunteers, mostly. Come and see us at Castlefield Community Centre.
